Configuration

A Ground Station only configuration is to be used with the

Standard

mode in the Pass-

by software.
Please see Chapter 2 for pictures and descriptions of the items to be installed in this

configuration.

3.1

Install

the

Pass

‐

Software

If you have received a factory-installed system:

1) Connect the front end to the PC using the supplied LAN cable.

2) Open the PULSE Pass-by application found under

All Programs\PULSE\Applications\Pass-

by\PBY Vehicle Pass-by

3) Follow the instructions provided in the software’s Help function for configuring the

system according to your test track specifications.

If you have not received a factory-installed system:

1) Install the PULSE software on your PC, including PULSE GADI Driver Type 3099-E if

you are using a Weather Station

2) Once PULSE is installed, run the Front-end Setup program found under

All

Programs\PULSE\Applications\Front-end Setup

and follow the on-screen

instructions on how to connect and configure LAN-XI hardware.

3) If there is no PULSE license installed on your system, follow the instructions given in

the PULSE License Installation manual, BE 1693.

4) Open the PULSE Pass-by application found under

All Programs\PULSE\Applications\Pass-

by\PBY Vehicle Pass-by

5) Follow the instructions provided in the software’s Help function for configuring the

system according to your test track specifications.
