MONITORING SYSTEM
A system monitors the electronic com-
ponents of the EMS (engine manage-
ment system), iBR (if equipped), and
other components of the electrical
system. When a fault occurs, it sends
visual messages through the infor-
mation center and/or audible signals
through a beeper to inform you of a
particular condition.
A fault code may also be recorded.
When a minor or transient fault oc-
curs, the fault message and beeper
will cease automatically if the condi-
tion that caused the fault does not ex-
ist anymore.
Releasing the throttle and letting the
engine return to idle speed may allow
normal operation to return. If this does
not work, try removing the tether cord
from the engine cut-off switch, waiting
5 minutes, then restarting.
The electronic system will react differ-
ently depending on the fault type. If
a severe failure occurred, the engine
may not be allowed to be started. In
other cases, the engine will operate in
limp home mode (reduced speed).
When a fault occurs, seek service
from an authorized Sea-Doo dealer,
repair shop, or person of your own
choosing for maintenance, repair, or
replacement as soon as possible for
inspection. Please refer to the US EPA

herein for information about warranty
claims.
Fault Codes
When a fault occurs, a numerical fault
code may be recorded depending on
the fault type and system.
These fault codes are used by au-
thorized Sea-Doo dealers for trou-
bleshooting the watercraft systems
when comparing them to a fault list.
Fault codes can be viewed in the in-
formation center multifunction display
however, this function is only available
if a fault is still active.
If there is an active fault code, it may
be viewed by the operator on the
multifunction display. The operator
may then choose to call his autho-
rized Sea-Doo dealer to pass on the
fault code. The dealer will then advise
the operator on the steps to take to
solve the problem, or to stop using the
watercraft and to seek service from
an authorized Sea-Doo dealer, repair
shop, or person of your own choosing
for maintenance, repair, or replace-
ment. Please refer to the

Displaying Fault Codes
GTR-X
Press the right arrow on the right key-
pad until you see Setting. Press OK to
enter. If a fault code as occurred during
your riding cycle, a CODE menu will be
available in the settings menu. Press
OK to see the list of faults.
NOTE: During normal riding condi-
tions some fault code may occur. Be-
fore contacting your local dealer, Re-
move the key, make sure to wait 2 min-
utes until the electrical system shut
down, then press start to wake up the
electrical system. This will ensure oc-
curred fault to disappear and only the
active codesl remain ON in the CODE
menu.
All other models
Press the MODE button repeatedly un-
til the FAULT CODE function is visible
in the multifunction display.
Press the SET or the UP/DOWN but-
ton to enter the function and display
the first fault code, then press the
UP/DOWN button repeatedly to dis-
play each subsequent code.
