21) Developer Roller Counter Reset 1 (Ineffective)
21) Developer Roller Counter Reset 2 (For the standard toner cartridge)
21) Developer Roller Counter Reset 3 (For the high-capacity toner cartridge)
Since print density is likely to become darker as toner is getting older, the developing
bias is lowered by degrees according to the number of prints so that an almost fixed
density can be maintained from the start of the use of brand-new toner to the end of it.
The value of the developing bias is printed on the maintenance sheet. The developing
bias is a parameter which depends on the developing assembly, so it needs to be reset
when the developing assembly is replaced. At that time, the developing roller counter
reading is also reset. This mode is to enable to execute these operations (equivalent to
those done when the developing assembly is replaced) manually from the service
mode.
