Cleaning the document feed

A

Turn off the machine’s power switch. 
Unplug the telephone line cord first, 
disconnect all cables, and then unplug 
the power cord from the AC power 
outlet.

Lift the control panel cover (1).
Carefully remove dirt from the document 
feed (2) with a soft lint-free cloth.

Close the control panel cover.

Cleaning the corona wire

A

If you have print quality problems, clean the 
corona wire as follows:

a

Open the front cover, and then leave the 
machine turned on for 10 minutes for the 
internal fan to cool the extremely hot 
parts inside the machine.

 

b

After the machine has cooled down, turn 
off the machine’s power switch.
