6.1.4 Edge Covers L and R, Scanner Cover Support, and Damper

(1) At the left end of the machine, remove the four screws from the edge cover L and lift it up

together with the scanner cover support and damper.

(2) At the right end of the machine, remove the three screws from the edge cover R and lift it

up.

(3) Slide the boss of the scanner cover support to the center of the scanner cover damper and

remove the damper from the support.

(4) Turn the scanner cover support to set in the edge cover L once. As shown below, lightly

pull the lock arm on the edge cover L outwards with a flat screwdriver and slide the scanner

cover support to the front to remove it.

Assembling Notes

• When mounting the edge cover L, first insert the front tab into the side cover L.
