BATTERY PRECAUTIONS
• Dispose of used batteries properly. Do not dispose of
used batteries in a fire.
• Do not leave the batteries where a child or pet could
play with or swallow them. If the batteries are swal-
lowed, contact a physician immediately.
• The batteries may explode if mistreated. Do not
attempt to recharge or disassemble the batteries.
• Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type.
Do not mix old and new batteries, different types
of batteries, or rechargeable batteries of different
capacities.

OPERATION
To use the Wireless Optical Mouse:
1. Slide the battery cover off the mouse and remove
the USB dongle from its storage slot. Replace the
battery cover.
2. Insert the USB dongle into a USB port on an active
device.
3. Slide the On/Off switch to the On position. The
mouse will pair with your device.
4. Use the mouse buttons and scroll wheel as
appropriate for your device.
5. To turn off the mouse, slide the On/Off switch to the
Off position.
Note: Due to the tight fit of the items in the battery
compartment, when returning the USB dongle to
its storage slot it may be necessary to remove the
batteries, insert the dongle, and reinsert the batteries.

INSTALLING THE BATTERIES
Your Wireless Optical Mouse requires 2 AAA batteries
(not included).
To install the batteries:
1. Slide the battery cover (identified with the
Brookstone logo) off the mouse, exposing the
battery compartment.
2. Remove the USB dongle, or leave it in its storage
slot for future use.
3. Insert two AAA batteries, following the polarity
indicators.
4. Using the alignment slots, slide the battery cover
back onto the mouse.
