The  locomotive’s  power  is  monitored  and  filtered,  thus  tracking 
the  amount  of  power  used  at  any  given  instance.    If  the  power 
requirement  change  enough,  the  chuff  sound  effects  change, 
following  the  power  requirements.  This  value  determines  the 
convergence  time  of  the  reading.    Increasing  the  value  increases 
the  accuracy,  but  increases  the  response  time.    Decreasing  the 
value decreases the response time but also decreases the accuracy.
