no signal
being received.
Probable causes
:

The computer is trying to establish an initial connection.

You have moved out of range of the network.

You have disabled the radio.

icon in the system tray. The verbal description of the signal
strength appears when you hover the cursor over the icon.
If the signal strength indications are anything other than very good or excellent, you should take the appropriate suggested action.

To view or modify the wireless network properties (Windows 2000 environment)

Wireless Networks
tab.
