6.4.2 Check and tension the drive chain
Special tool
The following special tool is required:
– Slotted screw driver
– Spanner
Check and tension the
drive chain
To check and tension the drive chain:
a) Uncouple the attachment.
b) Dismantle the side parts (see chapter
Installing and
dismantling the side parts [ } 35]).
c) Stand the attachment on its side with the chain drive at the
top.

d) Undo and remove both cap nuts (1) and four screws (2).
e) Extend drive unit (3) upwards.

f) Undo and remove seven screws (4).
g) Remove cover (5).

h) Undo and remove seven screws (6).
i) Remove the gearbox cover (7).

j) Undo screw (8).
k) Turn chain tensioner (9) clockwise until drive chain (10) is no
longer sagging.
l) Tighten screw (8).
m) Apply a little chain spray or long-life grease to the drive
chain.
