4.9 Uncontrolled water inflow
The water inflow is controlled via the water inlet valve (solenoid valve) on the
ECOM
ix system. If
the solenoid valve fails, water could run in uncontrolled. When closed, the solenoid valve is monitored
by the flow sensor.
The monitoring is done only in operation. It is recommended to leave the
unit turned on.
If the flow sensor detects that water flows in uncontrolled, the following text is displayed:

Shut off the water supply:
Detach the water supply tube from the permeate ring conduit.
The message “Disconnect water supply” is displayed.
The current inflow rate and excess quantity will be displayed. Press the Info key to return to
the previous step. You can then decide how to proceed. If the excess quantity exceeds 10.0 litres,
the drain valve opens and both the inflowing water and the water in the mixing tank are discarded.
Going back to the previous menu is not allowed. Only the service technician can abort this process
an return to the main menu. The following screen is displayed:
