Kingpin Inspection
Check the diameter of the Kingpin using a caliper as
shown in Fig. 4-5. The minimum allowable diameter
is 1 7/8” (47.63mm). Make sure the kingpin is straight
and not damaged in any way. Also check the pin
mount for damage or cracking.

Wheel Hub Oil Level
The end cap of the wheel hub has a see through
sight glass to allow inspection of the oil level. The oil
level must be kept at the FULL level.
Use SAE 75-90 Synthetic Gear Oil.
10 bolt hub require approximately 600ml of oil when
empty. Use the FULL line as a guide.

Wheel Nut Torque
Requirements
Caution.
Improperly torqued wheel nuts can
cause a loss of implement control and machine
damage.
Torque wheel nuts to 475± 25 ft.lbs.
Check torque as outlined in Section 3.2.
Check all wheel nuts for tightness before the first trip.
Failure to do so may cause damage to the wheel nut
seats. Once the seats are damaged, it is impossible to
keep the nuts tight.
