Grease the gooseneck base pivot - 2 places. See Fig. 4-2.

Grease the hydraulic cylinder mounting pins - 4 places. See Fig. 4-2.

Grease the cam shaft bushings (drum brakes) - 2 places. See Fig. 4-3.

Check the wheel nut torque.

Check the brake pad lining thickness.
2.
Check the kingpin for wear. See Section 4.5
3.
Check the condensation holes in the brake chambers.
4.
Check suspension fasteners for proper tension.
5.
Check the hydraulic power unit engine’s air cleaner. Clean if necessary.

Semi-Annually
1.
Grease the slack adjusters (drum brakes - 2
places. See Fig. 4-4.

Annually
1.
Change oil in the hubs.
2.
Clean and inspect the brake chambers.
3.
Change the oil and filter in the hydraulic power
unit oil reservoir.

Change oil.

Every 50 hours

Service the air filter.
