Complete loss of
trailer lights. Incorrect coupling of harness
at the tractor. Properly connect harness to tractor.
Broken main harness. Repair or replace harness.
Blown fuse or breaker. Replace fuse.
Broken ground lead between
tractor and trailer. Check, repair or replace harness cable.
Loose or corroded connection
in ground lead between
tractor and trailer. Repair or replace.
Dim or flickering
lights. Battery on tractor not
sufficiently charged. Check battery and connections.
Check alternator.
Damaged wire in harness. Repair or replace wire.
Dirty or corroded
connections. Clean all connectors.
Loose connection. Repair as necessary.
Poor ground at socket. Repair as necessary.
Hydraulic cylinder
will not operate. Insufficient oil level. Fill reservoir to proper level.
Restriction of oil flow. Remove restriction.
Pump is worn. Repair or replace pump.
Broken key or keyway in drive. Repair or replace key.
Hydraulic hose not
connected. Connect the hose.
Worn control valve. Repair or replace valve.
Cylinder will not
hold pressure. Air in the hydraulic system. Bleed system by making several cycles.
Internal leak in cylinder. Repair or replace cylinder.
Worn control valve. Repair or replace valve.
Noisy pump. Air in the hydraulic system. Bleed system by making several cycles.
Restriction of oil flow. Remove restriction.
Insufficient oil level. Fill reservoir to proper level.
Water in oil. Drain system and replace oil and filter.
Dirty or contaminated oil. Drain system and replace oil and filter.
Use of wrong viscosity or type
of oil. Drain system and replace with proper oil.
Worn or damaged pump. Repair or replace pump.
