Valve Box Troubleshooting
CAUTION: To avoid injury from electric shock, turn off water supplies to unit
before troubleshooting.
Problem:
The sprayhead fails to shut off and drips.
Cause:
There is debris trapped between the diaphragm and the valve seat.
Solution:
Clean the diaphragm.
1. Remove the valve box cover and then remove the four screws holding the diaphragm in place.
2. Make note of the orientation of the diaphragm (the flat side on the center plastic part must be
facing the inlet) and remove the diaphragm.
3. Rinse the diaphragm in clean water, replace the diaphragm (in the proper orientation) and secure
with the screws.
4. Replace the valve box cover.
Problem:
An individual operating station fails to turn on.
Cause:
A failed coil for the valve, or loose electrical connection to the terminal.
Solution:
Replace the valve box.
1. Disconnect the inlet and outlet hose connections.
2. Remove the sensor “eyes” from the sprayhead taking care to keep dirt/debris and water out of the
sprayhead sensor windows.
3. Pry the valve box up to loosen from the hook-and-loop pad.
4. Replace the valve box and reassemble the valve box in reverse order.
