To install the battery:
1.
Insert the new battery (Model 6753) at a slight angle with the battery status
indicators on the top right, to make a secure connection between the
battery and Programmer contacts.
2.
Press down on the left edge of the battery to ensure that the battery is fully
seated, to allow the battery cover to fit flush with the case.
3.
Determine the charge status by pressing the battery status button on the
battery, which is located just above the battery status indicator LEDs
4.
Replace the battery retaining strap.
5.
Replace the battery cover by aligning the left edge of the cover with the
middle of the battery release button (see Figure 30 Battery Compartment
on Underside of the Programmer on page 47).
6.
Close the battery cover by sliding the door to the left until you hear an
audible click.
7.
If the battery charge status is less than 100%, connect the Programmer to
AC power. A full recharge from a depleted battery will take about 2 to 2 1/2
hours.
NOTE:
As long as the Programmer is plugged in (connected to AC
power), the battery will charge. The Programmer does not have to be
powered on to recharge the battery. However, the Programmer must be
turned on in order to check the battery charge status (see Figure 9 Main
Screen on page 25).
NOTE:
For best results, be sure to charge the battery to 100% before
using the Programmer on battery power only.
Battery Recycling
Boston Scientific recommends that the Lithium-ion battery should be
discharged to 25% or less of capacity, and should be recycled in a separate
collection for electrical and electronic equipment. Do not place the battery in
the trash.
NOTE:
Do not include the battery when returning the Model 3300
Programmer to Boston Scientific Corporation.
