Expire Time Type the number of seconds to elapse before the SIP
phone needs to register again.
RTP Port
The Real Time Packet port data is the port used to
transmit the voice stream in a timely manner.
Enter port numbers between 8000 and 65535. The
default setting for this field is 10000 (recommended).
RFC2833 Payload Type
This field describes the format of data packets. Valid
payload types are between 96 and 128.
This field is set to 101 by default.
Under NAT Select
Yes
if BOSST101 is behind NAT. This will
enable
NAT traversal for all VoIP calls.
Signaling Precedence(ToS)
This field defines the ToS for call control signals
(control packets).
Type of Service (ToS) is a method to prioritize
network traffic. This tagging method that classifies
and prioritizes packets. When packets are sent out on
the network, the higher priority packets are
transferred first.
There are six priority levels available:

0 Routing

1 Priority
•
2 Immediate
•
3 Flash
•
4 Flash Override
•
5 CRITIC/ECP
Voice Precedence(ToS)
This field defines the ToS for voice signals (data
packets). For information regarding Tos, please see
the previous field.
G.711 Packet Size This field defines the packet size using the G.711
codec, ranging from 20 to 80.
G.729 Packet Size This field defines the packet size using the G.729
codec, ranging from 20 to 80.
G.723 Packet Size This field defines the packet size using the G.723
codec, ranging from 30 to 180.
Domain Name
Type the domain name to identify your BOSST101
SIP server to SIP enabled devices on the network.
You can also enter an IP address in this field.
DTMF Type
SIP can send DTMF signals during calls. This
enables services like telephone menus. Your
BOSST101 can perform this using one of the
following three methods:
•
RFC2833: Send the tones out of band but still
attached to the audio stream via RTP.
•
SIP Info: Transmits DTMF tones out-of-band as
telephone-events in a reliable manner
independent of the audio stream.
•
Nortel Info: A proprietary signalling protocol
supporting Nortel proprietary SIP info signalling
protocol.
