Is the QC35 II Gaming Headset a gaming or lifestyle headset?

The QC35 II Gaming Headset is a new type of headset that combines the features users need for
both gaming and lifestyle in one single device.

What is the difference between QuietComfort® 35 wireless headphones II and
the QC35 II Gaming Headset?

The QC35 II Gaming Headset offers the same combination of world-class noise cancellation,
acclaimed lifelike sound and built-in dual-mic system as the QC35 headphones II. The main
difference is that the QC35 II Gaming Headset has a removable gaming module, which adds a
boom mic, mic mute, and comes with a PC desktop controller for volume control and mic
monitoring.

Is the QC35 II Gaming Headset wired or wireless?

In lifestyle mode, the QC35 II Gaming Headset works like standard QC35 headphones II and can
be used wirelessly via Bluetooth. When you attach the gaming module, the QC35 II Gaming
Headset will utilize the built-in aux cord for low-latency gaming.

Why is the QC35 II Gaming Headset wired for gaming?

This was done to provide the lowest latency possible. In addition, because this headset is wired
for gaming, you can keep playing when the battery is empty. If this runs out mid-game, you will
continue to hear game audio without noise cancellation.

How do I remove the boom mic of the QC35 II Gaming Headset?

Pinch the clip by the ear cushion using your forefinger and thumb. Wiggle slightly while gently
pulling straight down.

Does Bluetooth work when the QC35 II Gaming Headset is in gaming mode?

No, plugging the aux cable into the QC35 II Gaming Headset disables Bluetooth.

Do I have to turn on noise cancellation when gaming?

No, you don’t have to, but it is strongly recommended as it heightens the experience. For most
gamers, noise cancellation is a new feature and our tests have shown that they were blown away
by how much more they could hear from their game.

Do I have to do anything to set up the PC desktop controller?

Your computer should automatically recognize the device and change the default audio devices.
In case you’re not getting or sending audio, you should make sure you’ve selected the “Bose PC
