7.5.7 Magnetic
steam
valve is not functioning
Fault description:
Steam valve does not open
Possible faults:
1. No control signal voltage from logic module
2. No voltage at power module steam output
3. No voltage on magnetic steam valve
Troubleshooting:
1. Check control signal voltage from logic module
To do this, open the appliance. Using the Torx T10 screwdriver,
unscrew all rear panel screws and remove the rear panel. Remove
upper appliance cover to the rear. Remove both side panels upwards.
The control signal voltage is measured on plug CL10 on terminals 1 =
GND (brown) and 10 = 5 VDC. The magnetic valve must be actuated
by pressing the steam button. Wait until steam temperature is
reached.

2. Check voltage on power module steam output
The voltage for the steam valve is measured on plug CP6 on terminals
6 = neutral conductor and terminal 1 = phase (brown). The magnetic
valve must be actuated by pressing the steam button. Wait until steam
temperature is reached.

3. Check voltage on magnetic steam valve connectors
The operating voltage of the magnetic steam valve is measured on
the terminals of the valve.
The magnetic valve must be actuated by pressing the steam button.
Wait until steam temperature is reached.
