7.3 Incoming
goods
inspection
The incoming goods inspection allows machine faults to be
localised quickly and suitable repair measures to be initiated:
►
Follow the sequence in the table.
►
Repair any faults and repeat the repair routine to the end.
1. Check machine for visual damage
►
Housing part broken, damaged or deformed?
►
Power cord or mains plug damaged?
►
Has the customer opened the appliance?
2. Check the mechanical elements
►
Drip tray with dregs drawer clean, inserted.
►
Does function switch move easily?
►
Ground coffee lid in place, closed?
3. Switching on the appliance
►
Switch on the appliance with the mains switch.
►
Is illuminated ring on the “On/Off” button lit?
►
Switch on with
standby
button, appliance initialised? Conduct
drawer test with original tray.
►
Insert test drawer, appliance rinses independently. Are
illuminated rings on the
standby
and
cafe
buttons lit?
►
How long does the machine require to heat up, rinse?
(Standard time approx. 70 sec.)
4. Fill water tank
►
Water tank leaking?
5. Coffee preparation without coffee
►
Open and close ground coffee lid, are messages indicated?
►
Press the
cafe
“on” button. Is water running out of the coffee
outlet?
6. Coffee preparation without beans
►
Check clockwise rotation of the grinding unit.
►
Brewing stops, is “Add beans” message indicated?
7. Check tank sensor
►
Remove water tank, is “Add water” message indicated?
8. Hot water preparation
►
Press function switch to draw hot water.
►
Is the pump functioning?
►
Is hot water running out of the steam pipe?
9. Steam generation
►
Press function switch to draw steam. Approx. 30 seconds until
clock timing regular?
►
Is steam flowing out of the steam pipe?
10. PC service diagnosis
►
Conduct input diagnosis.
