Point Number
and
Point

, allow the user to quickly advance the device selection by one location, either one
Point
location (
[+]
or
[-]
) or one
Bus
number (
[Bus +]
or
[Bus -]
). This is useful when a task requires
proceeding from device to device, as during system setup or check out. The
[?]
button is used
to display all devices to facilitate quick selection of a particular device. It is most useful when
diagnosing a problem with a particular device.
Selecting the Point Type
The
Point Type
drop-down list indicates the type of device at the location currently selected in
the
Point Number
field. Once the
Point Number
text box contains the proper value, the
device type can be selected from the
Point Type
drop-down list.
