Information Area
Information texts and error messages can be displayed in the information area
during operation.
Line Number
The sequential number of the selected line is shown in the second area. The
column is not assigned.
The fields "Open applications" and "Current language" are assigned
by the system. If subroutines are branched, these are also entered
as "Open applications". In this case, the applications cannot be
toggled. Otherwise, the relationship of the programs get lost.
Functional Scope of the Block Search
The block search provides the possibility to start NC processing within the se‐
lected main NC program. This function acts like an absolute jump from the
program start to the target block. The selected program has to be at program
start.
Using the long cursor, the operator selects the desired target block to which it
is to be jumped from the program start.
After having triggered "NC start", the NC begins program processing starting
at this block and based on the current machine and control states. Afterwards,
it is switched to a special NC screen. The previous blocks are not executed or
taken into account.
Starting the Application
The default M-key assignment is the "Block search" key in the "Program func‐
tions" level
When "Block search" is called, the selected NC program is displayed.
The cursor is normally located on the first block in the displayed NC program.
If the program has already been processed previously in the block search, the
previously selected block is marked.
Block Search to Main Block
Generally, the block search is used to position and start a main block that con‐
tains all required geometric and technological data for a continued program
operation, especially the tool replacement.
Block Search on Auxiliary Block
The block search can also be used to position and start any NC block (auxiliary
block). Therefore, the operator has to set the required geometric and techno‐
logical data in "MDI operation" before.
In doing so, the conditions required on the machine for the actual entry block
can be set up.
Selecting the target block
The target block of the displayed NC program can be selected with the cursor
keys.
Note that the selected NC block number must not exist several
times in the NC program. The system jumps to the block number
found first.
Start block search
Pressing the F-key "Apply block" starts the block search and closes the appli‐
cation.
Functional Scope: Block Pre-run
Block pre-run is a function for testing and positioning NC programs so that the
operating procedure can be started at any block in the NC program/subroutine.
Block pre-run is an extension of the NC function "Block search".
Block pre-runt is used to create the required states in the control and machine.
The block pre-run requires a target block being specified. The target block can
