Performing Size Calculations
For calculating the circumferential coordinate, the reference diameter and the
angular pitch must be entered in any order. Mathematical expressions are al‐
lowed in every entry field (see
). If the focus leaves the
field of the last entry and/or if <return> is pressed after the last entry, the cir‐
cumferential coordinate can be seen from the last text box.
If the angular pitch is to be determined, enter the reference diameter and the
circumferential coordinate into the corresponding fields in any order. If the focus
leaves the field of the last entry and/or if <return> is pressed after the last entry,
the related angle can be seen from the central text box.
Error
Errors are caused in the entry. The following causes can be considered:

Inadmissible mathematical operations and
●
Syntax errors.
In case of an error, an error message appears in the lower part of the form
referring to a format error. The focus is automatically reset to the faulty entry
field.
Using the <Esc> key, you can reject the latest entry or edit the entry field speci‐
fied in the error message.

Thread Table
Overview
The thread table makes almost all thread dimensions available whereas differ‐
ent types of cylindrical threads have been considered. The table supports you
in:

The programming of thread cutting processes (external/internal),
●
The programming of tapping,
●
The determination of the pre-drilling diameter and
●
The description of a thread cutting tool for the simulation.
The thread table only returns length dimensions in mm.
The tab for the thread table is labelled with "Thread".
The form provides combo and text boxes for the thread selection. Behind the
text boxes that are in the fore and can be considered for a value transfer, push‐
buttons for copying purposes are located.
