Emergency stop button - standards
The emergency stop button is disclosed by the manufacturer as safety com‐
ponent according to machinery directive 2006/42/EC (annex V-10, emergency
stop devices). The compliance with the directive is proven by adherence to the
following European standards:

IEC 60204-1 (safety of machinery – electrical equipment of machines)

IEC 60947-5-1/5 (requirements for control circuit devices, requirements
for emergency stop devices)
●
ISO 13850 (safety of machinery - emergency stop - principles for design)
