11 Commissioning
The product can be used directly. The COM interface and the UPS response in
case of voltage failure have to be configured using the connected visualization
PC. Use the software "PRVR Dashboard" already installed on all PR-, VR-devices
to configure the response in case of voltage failure.
For the description of the software "PRVR Dashboard" and the UPS settings, re-
fer to the project planning manual "IndraControl PR-, VR-, DR- and DE-Devices",
refer to
chapter 1.4 "Related documents" on page 2

The menu item "UPS" shows the UPS status.

The device settings can be modified via the menu item "Monitor service". The
following settings can be made for the UPS:
– Selection of the COM interface
– Actions in case of voltage failure
– Waiting time up to PC shutdown upon voltage failure
– Enabling or disabling warning messages
– Monitoring interval of the input voltage
12 Device description
The VAU 02.1S is a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) providing voltage to the
connected device for a limited time when the supply voltage fails (24 V DC).
The UPS can provide 24 V and 3.0 A for up to three minutes to the connected
device. The communication between UPS and panel or control cabinet PC takes
place via the COM interface "XF50".
