Function Profiles (FSP)
General information
The function-specific profiles set the device profiles for the communication
and also provides the necessary functions for the respective application (I/O,
drive, safety, etc.).
Profile for I/O Devices (FSP_IO)
The FSP_IO profile provides the IDN parameters and functions for displaying
modular or compact I/O devices in Sercos. The FSP_IO offers mechanisms
for the cyclical and asynchronous access to I/O data and diagnostic informa‐
tion.
I/O Function groups
I/O modules are displayed by various function groups, which depend on the
respective function or the provided data of the I/O module.
The following table displays all I/O function groups currently defined in the
FSP_IO:
