6.2 Connection

Incorrect electrical connection!
Incorrect connections can result in damage to the system.

Before commissioning, familiarize yourself with the communication between
your PROFIBUS DP master and the write/read station. Check all connections
prior to commissioning.
Once the supply voltage is connected and the device is initialized, the “PWR/ERR2”
LED lights up green. If the LED lights up red, the initialization is not yet complete or
a device error has occurred.

Device not configured or configured incorrectly!
An incorrectly configured device can cause faults in the system.

Configure the device prior to commissioning.
Various parameters must be set prior to commissioning.
There are volatile and non-volatile parameters. Volatile parameters return to their
condition as supplied automatically each time the device is switched off and on again.
