Servo-hydraulic actuator
Product description
Bosch Rexroth AG
RE62270-B, 01.21
Mains filters
Mains filters of types NFD or HNK keep leakage currents and radio interference
voltage, which are generated by the drive controller, away from the mains and
feed them back to the source of interference.
Braking resistors
Braking resistors (HLR) convert energy that is generated by dynamic braking of
the servo-hydraulic actuator into heat. The power sections of the HCS02 series
are provided with an integrated braking resistor. Except for the devices -W0012
and -W0028, the HCS02 may be extended by external braking resistors. Devices
of the HS03 series are always provided with an external basic braking resistor.
This can be replaced by a more powerful resistor, if required for the project.
The resistor is, however, usually positioned on top of the control cabinet.
Mains choke
HNL mains chokes attenuate voltage and current peaks and reduce mains har-
monics. They increase the continuous bus power of the drive controllers.
Cable connections for safety zone module HSZ01
If the safety function is to be selected purely discretely at the customer’s end,
i.e. not via a safe field bus, the scope of delivery additionally includes the
safety zone module HSZ01. Connect the HSZ01 with the optional S4 card of the
control section via two Safe Motion bus cables. Safe Motion bus cables are
available in various grades and lengths (simple short variant RKB0061 and
more robust, longer variant RKB062).

Technology function PFC
The technology function for operation of a servo-hydraulic actuator is made
available by the firmware extension package “Position Force Control” (PFC).
With the firmware extension package PFC the servo-hydraulic actuator can be
operated in closed-loop position and force control. The position is controlled
using a position encoder that is mounted to the cylinder or an encoder in the
axis, and force is controlled via pressure sensors or force sensors in the cyl-
inder chambers. The controller transition is alternating. Apart from alternating
control, the servo-hydraulic actuator can also be operated in pure position con-
trol.
