Installation altitude and ambient temperature
The BA1N energy storage device performance data specified are applicable
for
●
Ambient temperatures ranging from 0 °C to +40 °C
●
Installation altitudes from 0 m to 1000 m above sea level
The performance data of energy storage devices used outside of the above
ranges is reduced according to the following figure.
①
Usability to capacity, depending on the surrounding air temper‐
ature
②
Usability to capacity, depending on the installation altitude
f
T
Temperature utilization factor
t
A
Ambient temperature in degrees Celsius
f
H
Height utilization factor
h
Installation altitude in meters
Fig. 9-1:
Utilization factors
If either the ambient temperature or the installation altitude is above the nomi‐
nal data:
1. Multiply the data specified in the selection data by the determined uti‐
lization factor.
2. Ensure that the reduced data are not exceeded by your application.
If both the ambient temperature and the installation altitude exceed the nomi‐
nal data:
1. Multiply the determined utilization factors f
T
and f
H
.
2. Multiply the resulting value by the data specified in the selection data.
3. Ensure that the reduced data are not exceeded by your application.
