9.4 Fan – Fan connection
The connector "FAN" is a power supply connector for the fan unit that can be
installed underneath the module holder for forced cooling.
9.5 S0 .. S9 – Sensor connections
The NYA04.1-SENSORCABLE-M-F-xxx.xM-NY4951/x0 connection cables are
available to connect the sensors. Tightening torque of the M8 connector is 1,77
lbs*inch (0,2 Nm). See the Standard Housings and Accessories Manual for more
information.
9.6 L0 – Shared sensor connection
The NYA04.1-SHARED-CABLE-M-M-x01.0M-NY4951/70 connection cable is
available to connect shared sensors. Tightening torque of the M8 connector is
1,77 lbs*inch (0,2 Nm). See the Standard Housings and Accessories Manual for
more information.
9.7 Other interfaces
The system housing always has a Motion Control Unit (MCU) installed in the
leftmost slot, and one NY4150/10 SERCOS III Master module in the adjacent
slot. The MCU has connections available to connect to other system housing(s)
and/or a PC. Depending on the MCU type the connection is Ethernet or IEEE
1394b. On the SERCOS III Master module are two RJ45 sockets to connect two
SERCOS III cables to IndraDrives. More information can be found in the NYCe
4000 Project Planning manuals.
10 Installation and Removal
10.1 General
Damage to components may occur if power is
applied during installation or removal.
NOTICE

Make sure power supplies are switched off before installation or removal of
the system housing.
●
Do not apply power until the system housing is installed.
Damage to the system housing may occur due
to electrostatic discharges.
NOTICE
Comply with all ESD protective measures while working with modules and
components. Avoid electrostatic discharges.
