9 SERVICE AND REPAIR: WARMING DRAWER
The warming drawer has push-to-open slides. To open the drawer,
press firmly on the center of the front panel, and the drawer should
spring open.
9.1
Removing the Drawer Assembly from Housing
1. Fully open the warming drawer and disengage the slides from
the rails by pushing upward on the left drawer latch clip and
downward on the right drawer latch clip.
2. Grasp the drawer on both sides and firmly pull straight out
from housing.
3. Push the extended slides into the housing while the drawer is
removed.
9.2
Replacing the Drawer Assembly in Housing
1. Confirm that the slides are pushed into the cavity as far as
they will go.
2. Align the rails (riveted to the drawer assembly) with the slides
that are attached to the cavity walls.
3. Firmly push the drawer straight into the housing until the rails
engage and click into place.
4. Test the operation of the drawer by pushing in the center of
drawer front; open and close the drawer several times to
confirm that it is aligned and functioning correctly.
9.3
Replacing the Element
1. Disconnect power to the range.
2. Slide unit out of the cutout to gain access to the rear wall of
the cavity.
3. Remove the three screws securing the warming drawer wire
cover.
WARNING
To avoid possible electric shock, be sure electrical supply to the
range is turned off before servicing.
If testing the appliance requires the use of electrical power, exercise
extreme caution.
