Zweckbestimmung
Bei diesem Medizinprodukt handelt es sich um eine Bandage zur
Unterstützung der physiologischen Führung des Kniegelenks mit
zirkulären Klettverschlusszügeln und seitlichen Führungsschienen mit im
Bewegungsumfang einstellbaren Gelenken.
Indikationen
Meniskusverletzungen, leichte bis mittlere Seitenbandinstabilität des
Kniegelenks, Gonarthrose, Arthritis, Bursitis.
Kontraindikationen
Thrombosegefahr, hochgradige Varikosis, periphere arterielle
Verschlusskrankheit (PAVK), Lymphabflussstörungen auch unklare
Weichteilschwellungen körperfern des angelegten Hilfsmittels, Empfindungs-
und Durchblutungsstörungen der versorgten Körperregion, Erkrankungen der
Haut im versorgten Körperabschnitt, Latexallergie.
Anwendungsrisiken / Wichtige Hinweise
Dieses Medizinprodukt ist ein verordnungsfähiges Produkt. Sprechen Sie
Anwendung und Dauer mit Ihrem verordnenden Arzt ab. Die Auswahl der
geeigneten Größe und eine Einweisung erfolgt durch das Fachpersonal, von
dem Sie das Medizinprodukt erhalten haben.
– Medizinprodukt vor radiologischen Untersuchungen ablegen
– bei längeren Ruhephasen ablegen z. B. beim Schlafen
– bei Taubheitsgefühl Medizinprodukt lockern oder ggf. abnehmen
– bei anhaltenden Beschwerden den Arzt oder Fachhandel aufsuchen
– Medizinprodukt indikationsgerecht einsetzen
– gleichzeitige Nutzung anderer Produkte nur nach Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt
– keine Änderungen am Produkt vornehmen
– nicht auf offenen Wunden tragen
– nicht verwenden bei Unverträglichkeiten gegen eines der verwendeten
Materialien
– kein Wiedereinsatz – dieses Hilfsmittel ist zur Versorgung eines Patienten
bestimmt
– während der Tragedauer der Bandage: keine lokale Anwendung von
Cremes oder Salben im Bereich des angelegten Hilfsmittels – kann Material
zerstören
Anziehanleitung
Vor dem ersten Anlegen der Bandage müssen die Gelenkschienen durch eine
ausgebildete Fachkraft der Körperkontur angepasst werden. Die Bandage
ist mit einem Gelenk für die Beininnenseite (medial) und einem Gelenk
für die Beinaußenseite (lateral) ausgestattet. Zum Anformen entfernen Sie
die Verschlussbänder vom Gelenk und entnehmen die Schienen aus der
Bandage. Um Extension/Flexion zu limitieren, können die beiliegenden
Anschlagbuchsen eingesetzt werden. Die Extension kann auf 10° limitiert
werden, die Flexion in 30°, 60° und 90°.
Formen Sie nun die Gelenkschienen der Beinkontur an, so dass die
Gelenkschiene flächig aufliegt und keine Druckstellen verursacht.
Anschließend werden die Schienen wieder in die Schienentaschen
eingeschoben und die Bänder adaptiert, jedoch nicht vollständig geschlossen.
Streifen Sie nun die Bandage über das Bein, so dass die Kniescheibe
(Patella) zentriert im eingearbeiteten Silikonring sitzt. Schließen Sie nun die
Bänder am Unterschenkel, anschließend am Oberschenkel. Die Bandage
sollte nun angenehm und ohne Druckstellen am Bein sitzen. Geringfügige
Korrekturen an der Passform der Schienen können auch ohne Entnahme
dieser durchgeführt werden.
Wichtig:
Sollten die Schienen Druckstellen
und Hautrötungen verursachen, bitte Bandage ablegen und diese vom
Leistungserbringer prüfen lassen.
Ablegen
Zum Ablegen die Klettbänder öffnen, die Bandage am unteren Rand seitlich
an den Schienen fassen, und nach unten über den Fuß ziehen. Schließen Sie
alle Klettverschlüsse, um Beschädigungen z. B. an anderen Kleidungsstücken
zu vermeiden.
Materialzusammensetzung
Polyamid (PA), Elastodien / Latex (LA), Elasthan (EL), Viskose (CV)
Die genaue Materialzusammensetzung entnehmen Sie bitte dem eingenähten
Textiletikett.
Das Produkt enthält Latex und kann allergische Reaktionen auslösen.
Reinigungshinweise
Vor dem Waschen Gelenkschienen herausnehmen und Klettverschluss
schließen, um Beschädigung anderer Wäschestücke zu vermeiden.
Schonwaschgang Nicht chemisch reinigen Nicht bleichen
Nicht im Wäschetrockner trocknen
Nicht bügeln
Keinen Weichspüler verwenden. In Form ziehen und an der Luft trocknen.
Gewährleistung
Für das erworbene Produkt gelten die gesetzlichen Bestimmungen des
Landes, in dem Sie das Produkt bezogen haben. Bitte wenden Sie sich
an Ihren Fachhandel, sollten Sie einen Gewährleistungsfall vermuten.
Bitte das Produkt vor Einreichung eines Gewährleistungsfalles reinigen.
Wurden beiliegende Hinweise der Gebrauchsanweisung nicht ausreichend
beachtet, so kann die Gewährleistung beeinträchtigt werden bzw. entfallen.
Ausgeschlossen ist eine Gewährleistung bei nicht indikationsgerechter
Anwendung, Nichtbeachtung der Anwendungsrisiken, -hinweise sowie
eigenmächtig vorgenommenen Änderungen am Produkt.
Nutzungsdauer / Lebensdauer des Produkts
Die Lebensdauer des Medizinprodukts wird durch den natürlichen Verschleiß
bei sach- und anwendungsgemäßem Umgang bestimmt.
Meldepflicht
Kommt es bei der Anwendung des Medizinproduktes zu einer
schwerwiegenden Verschlechterung des Gesundheitszustandes, dann
melden Sie dies Ihrem Fachhändler oder uns als Hersteller sowie dem BfArM
(Bundesinstitut für Arzneimittel und Medizinprodukte).

BORT Knee Support with Adjustable Hinge

Intended purpose
This medical device is a support for supporting the physiological guidance of
the knee joint with circumferential Velcro fastener restraints and side guidance
splints with joints which are adjustable in their scope of movement.
Indications
Meniscus injuries, mild to moderate lateral ligament instability of the knee
joint, gonarthrosis, arthritis, bursitis.
Contraindications
Thrombosis risk, extreme varicosis, peripheral arterial occlusive disease
(PAOD), lymph drainage disorders, also unclear soft tissue swellings distal to
the aid positioned, sensory and circulatory disorders of the region of the body
treated, skin diseases in the part of the body treated, latex allergy.
Application risks/Important notes
This medical device is a prescribable product. Discuss the use and duration
with your treating physician. The expert staff from whom you have received
the medical device will select the appropriate size and instruct you regarding
its use.
– remove the medical device prior to radiological examinations
– remove it during longer periods of rest, e.g. when sleeping
– in case of numbness, loosen the medical device and remove it if necessary
– in case of persistent complaints, consult the physician or specialist retailer
– use the medical device in accordance with therapeutic needs
– only use other products simultaneously after consultation with your physician
– do not make any changes to the product
– do not wear it on open wounds
– do not use in case of intolerance of one of the materials used
– no re-use – this medical aid is intended for treating one patient
– whilst wearing the support, please neither use any creams nor ointments on
or around it as they can destroy the material
Fitting instructions
Before putting the support on, the joint splints must be adapted to the contour
of the body by an expert. The support is equipped with a joint for the inside
leg (medial) and a joint for the outer leg (lateral). For forming, remove the
fastening straps from the joint and take the splints out of the support. In order
to limit extension/flexion, the mounting devices provided can be used. The
extension can be limited at 10°, the flexion at 30°, 60° and 90°.
Then, form the joint splints to the contour of the leg so that the joint splint
contacts the surface and causes no pressure sores. After this, the splints are
inserted back in the splint bags and the straps adapted, but not closed fully.
Then, slip the support over the leg so that the patella is placed centred in the
integrated silicone ring. Then, close the straps on the lower leg, followed by the
thigh. The support should now sit comfortably on the leg and not cause pressure
sores. Slight corrections to the fit of the splints can also be made without
removing them.
Important:
if the splints cause pressure sores and erythema,
please remove the support and have it checked by the service provider.
Removal
To remove the support, open the Velcro fasteners, grasp the lower edge of the
support on the splints and pull it downwards over the foot. Close all the Velcro
fasteners in order to avoid damaging other items, e.g. to further clothing.

The sewn in textile label provides the precise material composition.
The product contains latex and can trigger allergic reactions.
Cleaning information
Before washing, remove the joint splints and close the Velcro fastener in order
to avoid damaging other items of clothing.

Do not use fabric conditioner. Stretch back into shape and dry in the fresh air.
Guarantee
The legal regulations of the country in which you acquired the product apply
to the purchased product. Please contact your specialist retailer if you suspect
a warranty claim. Please clean the product before submitting a warranty
claim. If the enclosed instructions for use have not been properly observed,
the warranty may be impaired or cancelled. The warranty does not cover use
of the product inappropriate for the indication, non-observance of application
risks, instructions and unauthorised modifications to the product.
Useful life/Lifetime of the product
The lifetime of the medical device is determined by its natural wear and tear if
treated appropriately and as recommended.
Duty of notification
If a serious worsening of the state of health occurs when using the
medical device, you are obliged to notify the specialist dealer or us as the
manufacturer and the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency
(MHRA).

Utilisation prévue
Ce dispositif médical est une orthèse permettant de guider physiologiquement
l’articulation du genou avec des brides de fermeture Velcro circulaires et
des attelles de direction latérales équipées d’articulations réglables dans
l’amplitude de mouvement.
Indications
Lésions du ménisque, instabilité légère à moyenne des ligaments latéraux de
l’articulation du genou, gonarthrose, arthrite, bursite.
Contre-indications
Risque de thrombose, varices importantes, artériopathie oblitérante
périphérique (AOP), troubles de la circulation lymphatique y compris
tuméfaction des tissus mous d’origine inconnue éloignée de l’aide posée,
troubles de sensation et de la circulation sanguine des régions du corps
traitées, maladies cutanées sur les zones traitées, allergie au latex.
