8.21 Baby plate
Caution
Warning
The maximum load of the baby plate is 10 kg (22 lb)!
The Baby plate is a removable accessory!
When using the baby plate including when the new-born is placed there is always necessary
that there is a permanent presence of staff!
It is absolutely forbidden to see staff moving away from the baby plate when the new-
born is lying there!
The Baby plate can only be used by staff trained for this!
When mounting the baby plate on the bracket and after hearing the click, check by pulling
towards you that the baby plate is correctly insured! The safety lever must be in the down
position (safety position).
The Baby plate is not made for the transport of the new-born!
When installing the new-born on the baby plate, always do it on the longest part of the
mattress! The installation of the new-born on the shorter part of the mattress may fall to the
ground!
The baby plate moves with its seat, so that there is no distance between the genital matrix
during childbirth and the surface of the baby plate. This must be considered!
The baby plate should not be installed upside down! The correct position of the baby plate
before installation on the delivery bed is the one with the padding upwards.
Do not place the newborn on the baby plate without a mattress! Always use a
mattress covered with the bed-linen provided by the hospital.
The baby plate cannot be used with a bowl and the foot section of the delivery bed. There is
a risk of collision or damage to bed components or injury to the patient, staff or a third party!
When using the baby plate, the revolving bowl and the leg rest cannot be used together.
