2. Alternatively the timer channel A and the saved kind of remote control
(contact or data bus) can be selected by the corresponding setting of pa-
rameter P063. In case of an external control the priority sequence of chan-
nel A stays active until the external signal is cancelled. In case of active
base load switch control only the master must receive this signal (see also
„ Base load switch control with additional compressors“, page 25).

Entering
Code 00356
enables the display of the various digital inputs of the
control in the form of boxes. As regards allocation, the respective terminal
numbers of the basic module are shown underneath.
The inputs having closed contacts are marked with a check in the respective
boxes. Thus the boxes without a check stand for opened contacts.

1.6 Functions
Motor switching
limitation
Usually, the vessel volume in piston compressors is so large that the maxi-
mum permissible motor start frequency is not exceeded.
Motor switching limitation is only active when the air requirement makes it nec-
essary, i.e. after the "Motor start count per time base" is reached before time.
Only then will it switch from intermittent duty to limited continuous operation if
the compressor type permits idle operation or – independently of the com-
pressor type – automatic or remote-controlled restart after mains outages is
accordingly delayed.
The control unit calculates, if idling is possible, the through time so that on the
one hand the maximum allowed switch count per hour can not be exceeded,
and unnecessary idling times can be saved as well.
The minimum time base is 12 minutes. It is created automatically by the con-
trol unit according to the given maximum switch cycle rate per hour.
Power failure cycle
protection
If the function "Auto-Restart" or "Remote-On-Off" is activated it is registered
after an automatic motor restart following a short power failure (control volt-
age), if the motor start number would be too high after another start at the cur-
rent moment and a possible start would probably be delayed. For the calcu-
lation the power failure times – provided the real-time-clock is connected (via
plug-in jumper of the basic module) and its voltage (see also chapter Mainte-
nance) is sufficient – are considered.
This is shown in the countdown display by means of a once increased Auto-
Restart time.
Note!
This function is valid even if channel A (weekday – –) is not activated.
Note!
If the function „Remote On / Off“ is used, only the second variant is possible.
