Turn the adjuster knob 1 anti-
clockwise to reduce the spring
preload.

Damping
Adjustment
Damping must be adapted to suit
the condition of the surface on
which the motorcycle is ridden
and to suit spring preload.
An uneven surface requires
softer damping than a smooth
surface.
An increase in spring preload
requires firmer damping, a re-
duction in spring preload re-
quires softer damping.
Adjusting compression-
stage damping for front
wheel
Adjust the compression-stage
damping using the adjusting
screw
1 on the left fork leg.
To increase damping: Use the
tool from the on-board kit to
turn the adjusting screw in the
appropriate direction so that
mark
1 points to a higher read-
ing on the scale.
To reduce damping: use the
tool from the on-board kit to
turn the adjusting screw in the
appropriate direction so that
mark
1 points to a lower read-
ing on the scale.
