Possible cause:
The integral battery in the
radio-operated key has lost
a significant proportion of its
original capacity. There is no
assurance of how long the R/C
key can remain operational.

The coolant level is too low.
Check coolant level ( 128).
If the coolant level is too low:
Top up the coolant and have
the coolant system checked
by a specialist workshop,
preferably by an authorised
BMW Motorrad dealer.
Possible cause:
The coolant temperature is too
high.
If possible, ride in the part-load
range to cool down the engine.
If the coolant temperature
is frequently too high, have
the fault rectified as soon
as possible by a specialist
workshop, preferably an
authorised BMW Motorrad
dealer.
Engine in emergency-
operation mode
The "General" warning light
shows yellow.
The engine symbol appears
