not taken, the risk remains that thin objects, for
instance, could fail to interrupt the closing
movement.
Do not install any accessories in the movement
range of the windows in order not to impair the
trap protection function.

Closing without trap protection
In case of an external hazard, or if ice on the win-
dows, etc., does not allow you to close the win-
dows normally, proceed as follows:
1. Pull the switch past the pressure point and
hold it there. The trap protection function is
restricted and the window opens slightly
when the closing force exceeds a certain
value.
2. Pull the switch past the pressure point
again within approx. 4 seconds and hold it
there. The window closes without trap pro-
tection.
Safety switch on 5-door model*
This enables you to prevent the rear side win-
dows from being opened and closed at the
switches in the rear seat area, for instance by
children. When the safety function is switched
on, the LED comes on.
Press the safety switch when carrying
children on the rear seats, otherwise
careless closing of the windows could result in
injury.

Glass roof*, electric
Observe the glass roof during the closing
procedure, to avoid any injuries.
Take the remote control with you when you
leave the car, otherwise children could operate
the roof and possibly injure themselves.

Raising
Push the switch.
> The closed glass roof is raised and the slid-
ing trim opens slightly.
> The open glass roof moves automatically to
the raised position. The sliding trim remains
completely open.
Do not close the sliding trim forcibly with
the roof in the raised position, as this
could damage the mechanism. <
Opening, closing
> Push the switch toward the rear to the pres-
sure point.
The glass roof and the sliding trim open
together as long as you hold the switch in
this position.
> Push the switch to the rear past the pres-
sure point.
The glass roof and the sliding trim open
automatically. Push the switch again briefly
to halt the opening movement.
Close the glass roof similarly by pushing the
switch forward. The sliding trim remains open
and can be closed manually.

After the ignition is switched off
You can still operate the roof for approx.
1 minute after the remote control has been
removed or the ignition switched off.
