Operating rear stowage
compartment (BMW
Flexcase)
Open the seat.
The stowage compartment
light switches on when
switching on the ignition.
After switching off the ignition
the stowage compartment light
remains illuminated briefly.
Pull release lever 1 forward to
increase the size of the stow-
age compartment, for example
to accommodate helmets.
Base
2 moves lower.
It is not possible to start the
vehicle with the base lowered.
To stow two helmets in the
stowage compartment, position
the helmets as shown here.
To close the stowage compart-
ment, remove everything from
the stowage compartment and
use lever
3 to pull the base up
until it latches in the raised po-
sition.
Close the seat.
Spring preload
Setting
It is essential to set spring
preload of the rear suspension
to suit the load carried by the
Scooter. Increase spring preload
when the vehicle is heavily
loaded and reduce spring preload
