Bluetooth network, there is no
guarantee for smooth operation
in every situation.
Possible sources of
interference:
Interference fields due to trans-
mission towers and similar.
Devices with incorrectly imple-
mented Bluetooth radio stan-
dard.
By nearby Bluetooth-capable
devices.
Pairing
Before two Bluetooth devices
can establish a connection with
each other, they must have iden-
tified each other. This process
of mutual recognition is known
as pairing. When two devices
have paired they remember each
other, so the pairing process is
conducted only once, on initial
contact.
NOTICE
On some mobile devices, e.g.
with operating system iOS, the
BMW Motorrad Connected App
must be called up before using.
During the pairing process, the
TFT display searches for other
Bluetooth-compatible devices
within its reception range. The
conditions that have to be satis-
fied before the audio system can
identify another device are as fol-
lows:
The Bluetooth function of the
device must be enabled
The device must be "visible" to
others
The device must support the
A2DP profile
Other Bluetooth-capable de-
vices must be switched off (e.g.
mobile phones and navigation
systems).
Please consult the operating in-
structions for your communica-
tion system.
