rect headlight range, have the
adjustment checked by a spe-
cialized workshop, preferably by
an authorized BMW Motorrad
retailer.
Headlight beam throw
adjustment
When the spring preload adjust-
ment is no longer able to main-
tain the correct beam height to
avoid blinding oncoming traffic
owing to high vehicle payloads:
Adjust the height of the head-
light beam throw at the adjust-
ment screw
1 on the left and
right for both headlights.
If the motorcycle is ridden again
with lower payload:
Restore basic setting of head-
light.

Requirement
The motorcycle is stopped.
WARNING
Adjusting the windshield
while driving
Accident hazard
Only adjust the windshield
when the motorcycle is
stationary.
Pull the lever
2 downward to
raise the windshield 1 .
Push the lever 2 upward to
lower the windshield 1 .
