Possible cause:
The vehicle has not reached the
minimum speed (
165).
RDC sensor is not active
min 19 mph (min 30 km/h)
(The RDC sensor transmits
its signal to the vehicle only
once the minimum speed has
been exceeded.)
Observe the RDC display at
higher speed.
This is a permanent fault
only when the general
warning light also lights up.
In this case:
Have the malfunction cor-
rected at a specialist work-
shop, preferably an authorized
BMW Motorrad retailer.
Possible cause:
The radio link to the RDC sen-
sors is disrupted. There are
radio systems in the surround-
ing area that are causing in-
terference to the connection
between the RDC control unit
and the sensors.
Observe the RDC display in
different surroundings.
This is a permanent fault
only when the general
warning light also lights up.
In this case:
Have the malfunction cor-
rected at a specialist work-
shop, preferably an authorized
BMW Motorrad retailer.
Battery of the tire pressure
sensor weak
with tire pressure monitor
(TPM)
OE
lights up yellow.
TPM sensors battery
low. Function lim-
ited. Have checked by a
specialist workshop.
This fault message is only
shown for a short time
immediately following the Pre-
Ride-Check.
Possible cause:
The battery for the tire
pressure sensor is no longer
charged to full capacity.
Operation of the RDC is only
ensured for a limited time.
Contact a specialist work-
shop, preferably an authorized
BMW Motorrad retailer.
