Hold the wheel speed sensor 2
in position.
Install screw

Secure the cable 3 in the
holder 4 .
Operate the brake several
times until the brake pads are
bedded.
Remove the adhesive tape
from the wheel rim.
Removing the front-wheel
stand.
Extend the side stand.
ATTENTION
Vehicle topples to side when
being lifted on to stand
Risk of damage to parts if vehicle
topples
Secure the vehicle to prevent it
toppling, preferably with the as-
sistance of a second person.
Remove the rear-wheel stand.
Place the motorcycle on its
side stand.
Removing rear wheel
Lift the motorcycle, preferably
with a BMW Motorrad rear-
wheel stand.
Installing the rear-wheel stand
(
78).
Engage first gear.
Remove the screws 1 , in this
process, support the wheel.
ATTENTION
Use of hard or sharp-edged
objects in proximity to com-
ponent
Component damage
Take care not to scratch com-
ponents; cover or mask as
necessary.
Raise the rear wheel, swing out
to the rear left and remove.
