If the oil level is below the MIN
mark:

mark:
Have the oil level corrected
by a specialist workshop,
preferably an authorised
BMW Motorrad dealer.
NOTICE
As a contribution to reducing
environmental impact,
BMW Motorrad recommends
checking the engine oil on
occasion after a trip of at least
50 km.
Topping up the engine oil
Place the motorcycle on its
stand on firm, even ground.
Wipe the area around the oil
filler neck clean.
Insert cross-head end of re-
versible screwdriver insert

into screwdriver handle 2 (on-
board toolkit).
Position the tool on the clos-
ure
3 and turn anticlockwise.
Remove cap 3 of the oil filler
neck.
ATTENTION
Use of insufficient engine oil
or too much engine oil
Engine damage
Always make sure that the oil
level is correct.
Top up the engine oil to the
specified level.
