Tampering with the motor-

and signalling equipment.
Check operation of the clutch

Every 3rd refuelling stop
Check the engine oil level

STARTING
Starting engine
Switch on the ignition ( 64).
Pre-Ride-Check is performed.

Select neutral or, if a gear is
engaged, pull the clutch lever.
You cannot start the mo-
torcycle with the side
stand extended and a gear en-
gaged. The engine will switch
itself off if you start it with the
gearbox in neutral and then en-
gage a gear before retracting
the side stand.
Cold starts and low temperat-
ures: Pull the clutch lever and
turn the throttle grip to open
the throttle slightly.
