1 Overview
SR210 surface roughness measurement instrument is a mini-type hand-held instrument which is suitable for fast
measure requirement on production site. It has the features of easy operation, fast measurement, stable precision, and
convenient take along. It can calculate relevant parameter according to selected measurement condition, and display
clearly on LCD.
All parameter from this instrument conform to GB/T 3505-2000 Geometrical Product Specification Surface Structure
Profile Method Surface Structure's Predication, Definition, and Parameter.

1.1 Measurement Principle
When measuring the work piece surface roughness, please put the probe on the test surface of work piece. The internal
actuating device of the instrument would make the probe sliding along the test surface at constant speed. The probe
would feel the roughness of test surface through built-in sharp stylus. At this time the roughness of work piece test
surface would make the stylus move. This displacement would change the inductance value of the probe inductance
coils, thereby would generate analog signal which is proportional with the test surface roughness on the output end of
phase-sensitive rectifier. This signal would enter into data collection system after enlargement and level translation.
ARM chip would carry out digital filtering and parameter calculation for the collected data, the measurement result would
display on the LCD.
