Assembly Instructions - Vehicle Harness

plug prior to installation on the light tower.
Connect the terminals from the
plow lights to the terminals on the vehicle wire harness. Repeat the
installation for the opposite headlight.
13. Next, position the ROCKER SWITCH CONTROL STATION on the front
radius of the seat. Wrap the VELCRO STRAP around the bench, through
the 2" metal D-ring and fasten. Finally, connect the white power connector
from the vehicle wire harness to the connector on the control station.
The power switch should be in the “MIDDLE” or “OFF” position.
Note: All 2001-02 rocker switch control stations and joystick/rocker com-
bination control stations have an integrated plow light switch. These controls
work specifically with the vehicle harnesses that contain the headlight
relay. In addition, the operation of the draw latch can only be controlled
when the power switch is located in the “UP” position. See the diagram to
the right.
If you have a rocker switch control station that does not contain the inte-
grated plow light switch, and you have the vehicle harness that contains
the headlight relay, you can easily connect a plow headlight toggle switch.
The vehicle harness has a small, two pin connector located near the main
power connector. Use the PLOW HEADLIGHT SWITCH 2-PIN CON-
NECTOR & WIRE LEADS to connect a plow headlight toggle switch to
the harness.
First, insert the 24" GREEN/YELLOW GROUND LEAD into the 2-pin
power connector. This lead should be grounded to the vehicle. Next, plug
both of the 1/4" receptacles, on the HEADLIGHT TOGGLE SWITCH LEAD,
into the switch. Note: Both receptacles should be inserted into the spades
on same side of the switch. One receptacle should be positioned in the
middle spade. See the illustration below. Complete the connection by
plugging both 2-pin connectors together. See the diagram on page 32.
This completes the electrical assembly installation for the vehicle wire harness.
You are now ready to perform all of the test functions on the snowplow.
Insert one receptacle into middle spade.
Remaining receptacle connects to either spade on the
SAME side of the switch.
Dome
Plug
Apply a thin bead of silicone around the inside
perimeter of the molded nylon dome plugs prior
to capping the light tower ends. The silicone will
help retain the plug inside of the light tower
mount tube.
EMERGENCY HITCH PIN
& HAIR PIN COTTER
In the event you should lose hydraulic power while
snowplowing, raise the snowplow into a pile of
snow and insert the emergency hitch pin. The pin
will lock the plow in a temporary raised position
until proper service can be performed to restore
hydraulic power.
