HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
The hydraulic unit's valve manifold includes relief
valves to prevent damage to the blade or vehicle if
either end of the blade hits an obstacle. The valves
are preset and nonadjustable. When force against
the blade causes the pressure in an extended ram to
exceed the set limits, the relief valve opens, allowing
fl
uid to escape, and the ram retracts.
For hydraulic
fl
uid type and
fi
lling instructions, see
Hydraulic System, Annual Fluid Change, in the
Maintenance section of this manual.
