Cassette tape player operation

Tape playback:
Insert the tape into the slot. (Note: make sure the open side faces to the right.) When the ignition
is on, the unit turns on by inserting a tape. Tape playback will start when the cassette is
inserted. “LOAD” will briefly appear in the display. If “TAPE 1” appears, side 1 or A of the tape is
played. “TAPE 2” stands for side 2 or B.

Ejecting the tape
Press the   button completely towards the face of the unit. The tape will eject. If the unit is
turned on, “EJ” will briefly appear in the display and the last-heard radio station will play.

Tape program change

Automatic change (autoreverse): When the end of the tape is reached, the unit will
automatically reverse the direction and play the other side of the tape.

Manual change: To manually reverse the tape direction, press both PROG (program)
buttons (FR and FF) at the same time.

Fast winding

To fast-rewind the tape, press the FR button. Tape rewinds and “ ” blinks in the display.

To fast-forward the tape, press the FF button. Tape fast-forwards and “

” blinks in the

display.

To stop fast-winding, press the other fast winding button, FR or FF.

Radio Monitor
During tape winding, the radio will play the most-recently heard radio frequency. All frequencies
stored on the current bank of preset stations are accessible during fast winding.

Dolby B NR*
With this unit you can play back tapes recorded with Dolby B NR or without noise reduction.
Cassette tapes recorded with Dolby B NR stand out by their reduced tape hiss and the improved
dynamics. If Dolby B NR is switched on, “
