
Clock /time
The unit is equipped with an internal clock
for which the hours and minutes are set via
RDS in order to assure a high degree of
accuracy.
This RDS control is only possible when an
RDS station with CT (clock time) function
can be received.
The automatic adjustment for daylight sav-
ings time can be turned off. Please note that
presently not all RDS stations broadcast a
time signal.
Setting time
Automatically
The time will be set automatically if an
RDS station with CT (clock time) func-
tion can be received.
Manually with DSC-CLOCKSET
l
Press the DSC key; the display
shows “MENU”. Press
until
“CLOCK SET” is displayed.
l
Press
to set the hours/min-
utes. The blinking area can be
changed by using
l
Press the DSC key to store the en-
tered setting.
Displaying time
The time can be displayed permanently dur-
ing radio and CD operation. If another func-
tion is chosen, the time display will disap-
pear for approximately 8 seconds while, for
example, the selected station is being indi-
cated.
To change the display mode:
l
Press the DIS key for approximately
2 seconds until you her a beep.
Adjusting time after power out-
age
If the unit is without power for an extended
period of time, the display will show
when it is in operation again. The time will
be reset automatically by RDS-CT. It can,
however, also be set manually.
Manual setting of the time is only necessary
if there is no RDS station with CT function
in the reception area.
Turning off adjustment for day-
light savings time
The DSC menu option CLK MAN/CLK
AUTO allows you to turn off the adjustment
for daylight savings time. The minutes will
continue to be adjusted automatically.
This can be useful if, for example, you are
interested in displaying the time of a differ-
ent time zone.
For this purpose
l
Press the DSC key repeatedly and
until “CLK MAN/CLK AUTO” is
displayed.
To deactivate the time adjustment use
to select “CLK MAN”.
