After the loading process is complete, you might need to turn on 
your handheld radio to send and receive email messages. Refer to 
"Turning on and turning off the radio" on page 37 for more 
information.

Integrating with an enterprise 
email account

If you have integrated your handheld with an enterprise email 
account using the BlackBerry Enterprise Server or the BlackBerry 
Desktop Redirector, follow these steps to continue configuring your 
handheld.

Generating an encryption key

The first time that you connect your handheld to your computer, a 
dialog box prompts you to generate an encryption key by moving 
your mouse.

If you reinstall or update the desktop software, you are not 
prompted to generate a new key. You should generate a new 
encryption key every month for security purposes. Refer to the 

Redirector Settings Online Help

 for more information on generating 

encryption keys.
