6. Type a subject, such as Test , and press
ENTER
. Type your message. After your
message is complete, click the trackwheel to view the menu. Click Send .
You return to the Messages screen. If you are in an area of wireless coverage
sufficient to send email messages, a check mark will appear beside the message
within a short period of time. This icon indicates that your message was
transmitted successfully.
Reading your test email message
When you receive your test email message, follow these steps to read it.
To open an email message
1. On the Home screen, click the Messages icon. The Messages screen appears.
2. Scroll to the test message and click the trackwheel to view the menu. Click
Open . The new message appears on your screen. If necessary, scroll down to
read the entire message.
Note If you are not within an area of sufficient wireless coverage, you do not need
to cancel your message. The handheld will automatically send the message
after you return to an area of sufficient wireless coverage.
Depending on your service plan, you may also be able to send SMS
messages, place phone calls, and use the handheld’s other functions in
addition to sending email messages. Refer to chapter 5, “Using your
handheld’s functions” for information.
